  • There's a first time for everything! Somehow a snake made it's way into our office building and chose my office to hang out. I called Pro Wildlife on Sunday and explained it to the tech. They arranged the appointment to come and remove it for today @ 9am. The tech Zak Brooks arrived and got the snake out very quickly! He was friendly and professional!! Definitely recommend and we'd use them again if needed! Thank you again!

  • Josh came out & removed a dead cat from my engine that had been there for over six months! Absolutely no one else would do the job and other places said they couldn’t even find the animal. Josh found it and removed it with ease. I can’t thank him enough!

FAQ

Raccoon questions in Marion County

How common is raccoon rabies in Marion County?

It turns up every year. Marion's tables counted rabid raccoons in each year from 2022 to 2025, and DOH-Marion's 2026 notices named raccoon cases near Belleview, Huntington, Ocala and Reddick.

What should I do to protect my animals?

DOH-Marion asks owners to vaccinate pets and livestock on their vet's schedule, supervise pets and secure livestock. If a wild animal bites one, get it veterinary care and call Animal Services at 352-671-8727.

Can I move a trapped raccoon to the Ocala National Forest?

Not without written permission. FWC says public land can't be a release site without the land manager's written permission. Any trapped raccoon must be released or euthanized within 24 hours, and an off-site release needs 40 or more contiguous acres in the county and the owner's written permission.

Why do my garbage cans draw raccoons?

Open garbage cans and outdoor pet food are easy meals. DOH-Marion's notices ask residents not to attract wildlife with either.

Can someone come out today for a Marion County raccoon?

Same-day appointments for raccoons are often available in Marion County. Call (844) 264-6254.
